City leaders and residents gathered on Wednesday to commemorate the official opening of the Seabrook gateway sign. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the welcoming archway near the entrance of the city’s waterfront district, known as the Point.

Seabrook's involvement, led by the Seabrook Economic Development Corporation, took another step forward with the approval of a construction contract by city council.

Restaurateur Barry Terrell has purchased the iconic eatery, which was famous for its hamburgers, including "The Squealer," made of ground beef and bacon.
