New Seabrook Gateway Frames Growing Waterfront Area

Gateway Sign Gets Green Light in Seabrook
SEABROOK, TX (May 19, 2011) The City of Seabrook is joining area municipalities within the Houston port region by participating in Project Stars, a master-plan initiative that marks the area's rich historical past and celebrates its ongoing prosperity. Seabrook's involvement, led by the Seabrook Economic Development Corporation, took another step forward with the approval of a construction contract by city council.

Restaurateur Barry Terrell has purchased the iconic eatery, which was famous for its hamburgers, including "The Squealer," made of ground beef and bacon.

April opening planned for Marriot's SpringHill Suites in Seabrook

The U.S. Small Business Administration's (SBA) America’s Recovery Capital Loan Program can provide up to $35,000 in short-term relief for viable small businesses facing immediate financial hardship to help ride out the current uncertain economic times and return to profitability. Each small business is limited to one ARC loan.

The doors will soon be open to Seabrook’s largest hotel, an 86-room Comfort Suites, at Highway 146 and Bayport Boulevard where construction is expected to be completed in March.
